This Red Cedar dining table was a custom request to support a round 6′ glass (1/2″ thick). It was designed for their ‘forever home’ as a high end table for family gatherings. The clients wanted to retain the natural texture with the insect influence.
I recovered this stump after a tornado had taken it down here in the Smoky Mountains a number of years ago. Beautiful heartwood can be explored during their dining experience!
The requested finish was a Satin Polyurethane. This unique piece was mounted to the floor without any visible hardware.
